The Fontana Fireside candle builds on palo santo and vetiver for smoke and depth, then lifts the whole thing with pink grapefruit and a bite of black pepper. It's the most grown-up scent in the Fontana range, and the one least likely to read as a holiday candle in January. Poured in beeswax and coconut oil with a wooden wick, the 9 oz jar burns about 35 to 40 hours. Scented with essential oils, so the throw is soft and close rather than room-filling.
