Quick Answer
Non Toxic Homes has a library of self-paced digital guides for lowering your toxic load without the overwhelm.
-
Each guide is a category-based framework: pick a lane, follow the order of operations, make swaps you can trust.
-
Guides are the do-it-yourself entry point. The 1:1 programs are for deeper or persistent symptoms that need testing.
-
Pick by priority: your home, your kids, or your gut.
-
Two more are coming: clothing and personal care.
The most common question I get is not "is this ingredient bad." It is "where do I even start."
And I understand why. You go looking for an answer and you get forty conflicting ones, half of them from people selling you something, the other half from someone on the internet who read one study and now has a personality about it. You end up more confused than when you started, and usually a little scared, which is exactly what a lot of that content is designed to do.
So I wrote it all down. Same framework I use with clients, same framework I used in my own house.
Why does Non Toxic Homes make guides?
Because the products are not the hard part. The research is.
Figuring out which cookware actually leaches and at what temperature. Which mattress certifications mean something and which are a logo somebody paid for. Which "fragrance-free" claims hold up when you read the full ingredient list. Which brands got acquired and quietly reformulated while keeping the same packaging.
That is weeks of work. Most people do not have weeks, so they guess. They buy wrong, they buy again, and eventually they decide non-toxic living is for people with money and free time.
It is not. It is for people with the right information.
Every guide I make exists to compress that research into something you can act on this week. Every product referenced has been through the same vetting as everything in our shop, screened against a list of over 200 ingredients we will not carry. And I tell you which one I would buy. Not fifteen options with pros and cons. The one.
That is the whole value. A guide is not a shopping list. It is the reason you only buy something once.
What guides are available right now?
The NTH Home Guide: Your Non-Toxic Home Blueprint, $99
The complete one. Room by room through your entire house: cookware, cleaning, laundry, bedding, water, air. Ingredient breakdowns, checklists, and vetted product picks so you know both what to avoid and what to put in its place. This is the guide people tell me they wish they had bought first.
The Non-Toxic Kids Guide, $99
Small bodies take in more per pound of body weight, and their systems are still building. This one covers bath, sleep, play, skin, and the products marketed to parents that absolutely should not be. It is the guide I get asked for most, and the one I would have wanted earliest.
The Non-Toxic Homes Parasite Cleanse Protocol, $49
A 10-week functional medicine approach to parasite detox and gut support. This one is different from the others: it is a protocol, not a swap list. Educational only, and worth running past your provider before you begin.
The Guides Bundle
All of them together for less than buying them separately. If you already know you want more than one, this is the obvious move.
What guides are new?
Two, and they cover the categories most people never think about.
The Clothing Guide. Fabric, dye, and finish. Flame retardants in sleepwear, PFAS in performance and rain gear, formaldehyde-based resins in wrinkle-resistant shirts. This is fabric sitting against your skin for sixteen hours a day, and almost nobody audits it. It is one of the highest-contact exposures in your life and one of the least discussed.
The Personal Care Guide. Every product you put on your body, vetted and ranked. Skincare, hair, deodorant, oral care, and a proper breakdown of what "fragrance" is legally allowed to hide. If you have ever bought a "clean" product that turned out not to be, this is the guide that stops that from happening again.
How are the guides different from the programs?
Guides are self-paced and do-it-yourself. Programs are 1:1, with functional testing and my direct support.
If you want a framework you can run on your own, a guide is enough. Most people starting out do not need testing, they need a clear order of operations.
If you are dealing with symptoms that have not resolved, that is a different problem. Swapping your cleaning products will not fix a gut issue, and I am not going to pretend it will. That is what the Gut Healing Program, the Hormone Healing Program, and the Toxin-Free Reset are for. See all programs.
Reduce your exposures either way. But do not ask a PDF to do a practitioner's job.
Which guide should you start with?
Pick by whatever is bothering you most right now.
-
Your house feels like the problem. Start with the Home Blueprint. If the budget is tight this month, take the free Home Detox Guide and work up.
-
You have kids, or you are about to. Start with the Kids Guide. Highest exposure, smallest bodies, most misleading marketing.
-
Your gut is the issue. Start with the Parasite Cleanse Protocol, and talk to your provider first.
-
You want all of it. Take the Bundle.
-
You are not sure. Free guide. Right now. Decide later.
How do you get the most out of a guide?
Pick one category and take one action this week. Not five categories, not a weekend purge.
The people who succeed at this are not the ones who overhaul everything in a weekend. They are the ones who swapped their deodorant in March and their laundry detergent in May and never thought about either one again.
Everything the guides reference is already vetted and already in the shop, so you can act on the plan without going back to reading labels. That is the point. You paid for the guide so you could stop doing the research.
Progress, not perfection. I still have conventional products in my house that I am using up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the guides digital?
Yes. All of them are self-paced digital downloads. You can open one five minutes after buying it and take your first action the same day.
Do I need a program too, or is a guide enough?
For most people starting out, a guide is enough. If you have persistent symptoms that have not resolved with lifestyle changes, that calls for testing and a personalized protocol, which is what the programs provide.
Can I buy more than one guide at a discount?
Yes. The Guides Bundle groups them for less than buying each separately.
Will the guides work if I have already started going low-tox?
Yes, and the people already partway in often get the most out of them. The guides catch the categories most people skip: water, air, bedding, and the "clean" products that were never clean.
